Kyriad Caen Nord - Hérouville-Saint-Clair

The hotel was a short taxi ride from the Ouistreham ferry. The tram to Caen centre to pick up my car rental was a 10 minute walk away. Free parking at the hotel. I used this location as a central spot for visiting the Normandy region so the location close to the highways was super convenient. The room was a standard size with enough room for my large suitcase. And, enough counter space for my toiletries in the bathroom.. The shower was hot. The bed was comfortable. There was a desk that had enough space for me to easily use my laptop. The onsite restaurant was quite good for evening meal options. I also appreciated the snack and drink fridge in the lobby to purchase a treat or two. Friendly staff.

We've stayed here a few times now and will stay again if available, it's very convenient for us. The price is good value for the room, the rooms we've stayed in have always been very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for an overnight stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's just such a simple non- complicated place to stay, easy to find, easy to park, convenient checking in/out times and a very good breakfast if required. Recommended.

Location is ideal, stayed here for 4 nights whilst did day trips to Normandy coastline. Continental breakfast has plenty of choices and staff here are very helpful. Rooms are basic but very clean and housemaid makes up room every day. Overall, great value for money

Needed somewhere to stay off the evening ferry from Portsmouth to Caen. Ferry delayed so didn't arrive at hotel till midnight. Phoned staff and they arranged room entry. Motel style with rooms opening straight onto carpark. Condition of room good but quite small. Very clean. Very good breakfast with wide selection of hot and cold. Safe overnight parking. Would stay again and recommend. Wifi OK.
